Dr Yazoum\u00e9 Y\u00e9 is a senior infectious disease monitoring and evaluation specialist at ICF International in the USA.<\/p>\n
He is trained in Geography from University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and has a Masters and PhD in Public Health\/Epidemiology from the Medical Faculty of the University of Heidelberg, Germany.<\/p>\n
Dr Y\u00e9 joined ICF International in 2009. Prior to that he held an associate research scientist position at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) based in Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n
Before that he was working with the Nouna Health Research Centre. Dr Y\u00e9 has been involved with the Institute of Public Health (IPH) of Heidelberg as a Guest scholar since 2009.<\/p>\n
Dr Y\u00e9 has extensive experience in demographic surveillance systems as well as in survey design and implementation.<\/p>\n
His research interests include malaria epidemiology (modeling transmission risk), impact of climate change on health and impact evaluation of national-scale malaria control interventions.<\/p>\n
Dr Y\u00e9 has vested interest in climate change and health with focus on malaria. In this regard, he has published several peer\u2013reviewed articles assessing the effect of temperature, rainfall on malaria transmission risk.<\/p>\n
