Mary joins AFIDEP Kenya office as a Grants Accountant. She is to provide support in the management of programme funding through financial proposal development, budgeting, management and monitoring of grants, sub-grants and contracts, and closure of project financial activities, whilst ensuring compliance with donor rules and regulations.<\/p>\n
Mary brings over eight years of professional work experience in Business and Project Accounting, Grants and Contract Management, Proposal development, budgeting, financial analysis, procurement and administration in the non-profit sector.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining AFIDEP, Mary worked with the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), the International Potato Center (CIP) and the African Virtual University.<\/p>\n
Mary holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) from the same university. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a full member of ICPAK (the professional accounting body of Kenya).<\/p>\n
In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time in nature and reading classical and self-help books.<\/p>\n
