Maame joins AFIDEP as a Research and Policy Analyst. Her work involves providing technical assistance and research knowledge in implementing projects to generate evidence and enhance decision-making.<\/p>\n

Prior to AFIDEP, Maame was a Demography Research Fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). She also served as an Adjunct researcher and a Visiting Scholar at the Pennsylvania State University.<\/p>\n

Maame holds a PhD. and an MPhil. Degree in Population Studies from the University of Ghana where she also served as a Research and Teaching assistant at the Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her research interests are multidisciplinary including gender power dynamics, urban poverty and health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, and demo-economics. She is a member of the Population Association of America and has presented at international conferences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
