Leyla joins AFIDEP to provide support to various projects including technical support on conceptualization all the way to the monitoring of projects, analysis and report writing.<\/p>\n
She has over 15 years’ experience in health research in both humanitarian emergency responses and academia, with a wide range of experiences nationally and internationally. She has wealth of experience in various types of research to include implementation research, impact evaluation research and evidence research synthesis.<\/p>\n
Leyla has previously worked at Save the Children International as a Research Manager where she led the development and implementation of coherent and coordinated research strategies on health programmes. She has also worked at the University of Cape Town as a Research Scientist.<\/p>\n
Leyla holds a Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology. She has published over 35 articles worldwide in a renowned journal with a major focus on evidence synthesis in the health sector.\u00a0She endeavours to become a prominent public health expert and contribute professionally to the quality of life of people globally by actively participating in policy-making and designing evidence-based health interventions.<\/p>\n
