The infectious virus has disrupted and overwhelmed health care systems, trade, social systems and has been associated with millions of infections and deaths worldwide. To date there have been multiple waves of COVID-19 epidemics associated with various variants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This issue brief presents a summary of abstracts presented during the 8th East Africa Health Scientific Conference (EAHSC)\u00a0 on COVID-19; as well as key messages and recommendations from the review and synthesis of the abstracts.
